Richard II Live From Stratford -Upon-Avon: Update For Overseas Fans



The Royal Shakespeare Company announced earlier this week that the 13th November performance of Richard II starring David Tennant will be filmed and streamed live to cinemas around the UK. The recording will also be streamed to 1000 UK schools on November 15th. 

The production will also be screened in cinemas in North America, Northern Europe, Japan and Australia. The RSC have informed us that the cinema locations so far announced are just the first wave of Picturehouse venues. By mid-June they hope to have released information about other cinema venues worldwide, including broadcast times which will vary by territory.

Priority Booking for Picturehouse Members and RSC Supporters and Members opens on Monday 3rd June at via the listed Picturehouse cinemas. Public booking opens on Monday 17th June. Ticket prices are Full price £20, Members £13, Concessions £15

Richard II by William Shakespeare and directed by Gregory Doran stars David Tennant as King Richard, with Nigel Lindsay, Oliver Ford Davies and Michael Pennington. The play will open at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon on 10th October 2013 and will run untill 16th November 2013.
