David Tennant Confirmed To Attend TV Choice Awards

David Tennant is a confirmed guest at Monday night's TV Choice Awards, according to entertainments diary website The Media Eye.

David is nominated in the Best Actor category for his performance as DI Alec Hardy in Broadchurch. He once again finds himself up against fellow Doctor Matt Smith, with Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey) and Jeremy Piven (Mr. Selfridge) also competing. David triumphed over Matt when the two last met in the category two years ago.

Broadchurch will compete in the Best New Drama category against The Fall, Ripper Street and Mr Selfridge.

Doctor Who, in its 50th Anniversary year, is nominated for Best Drama Series

Viewers were invited to cast their votes on the shortlist, and the results will be revealed on Monday 9th September at The Dorchester in London in a ceremony hosted Ben Miller, who is soon to be seen on the big screen alongside David in What We Did On Our Holiday.

Other confirmed guests include Amanda Holden, Brooke Vincent, Gregg Wallace, Jamie Oliver and Paul O’Grady

The awards are not televised but a list of winners will appear on the TV Choice website on the night, and a full report and a selection of photos will appear in the Tuesday 17th September edition of the magazine
