BROADCHURCH: Timeshifted Viewings Boost Episode 3 Ratings



Timeshifted viewings for the third episode of the ITV drama Broadchurch show a huge jump in viewers watching by catch up services in the week following the original broadcast on Monday 19th January. The original live figure of 5.66 million increased by 53% to 8.71m, representing 3.05m viewing via PVR, catch up services or online.

Broadchurch is currently scheduled in the Monday night 9pm slot against the long-running BBC forensics series Silent Witness. Each two part story is broadcast across consecutive Monday and Tuesday evenings. Last week Silent Witness edged ahead of Broadchurch in the overnights, attracting 5.87 million. Timeshifted viewings have increased this by 2.59m (44%) to 8.46m. 

Broadchurch continues with Episode 5 on Monday 2nd February on ITV at 9pm as Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) reconsider the Sandbrook case in the light of the new information they have received.
