JAPAN: What We Did On Our Holiday Starring David Tennant Released In Cinemas On October 10th



The 2014 BBC Films comedy What We Did on Our Holiday will be released nationwide in cinemas in Japan on Saturday 10th October under the Japanese title 海賊じいちゃんの贈りもの (A Gift From Pirate Grandpa). 

The film, created by the team behind the TV show Outnumbered, stars David Tennant and Rosamund Pike as Doug and Abi McLeod, the parents of three lively children. Doug and Abi are divorcing, but put their differences aside to travel to Scotland to celebrate the birthday of Doug's dad Gordie (Billy Connolly). They're keen to keep their split from the rest of the family, but can they rely on the kids to keep the secret?

What We Did On Our Holiday was written and directed by award-winning writers Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin and also stars Ben Miller, Amelia Bullmore, Celia Imrie, Lewis Davie and Annette Crosbie with Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge and Harriet Turnbull as the three McLeod children. It was filmed entirely on location in Scotland and was premiered in the UK in September 2014.
