NEW RADIO PROJECT: David Tennant Plays Sir Walter Scott In Heart Of Midlothian

David Tennant returns to BBC Radio 4 in August in the first of three new productions in the Drama series The Great Scott. David plays the celebrated Scottish author Sir Walter Scott, narrating audio adaptations of some of the writer's classic works.

The first production in the new series is adapted from Scott's 1818 novel The Heart Of Midlothian. It will be broadcast on Sunday 2nd August on BBC Radio 4 at 3pm BST

The Heart Of Midlothian
"She wouldn't lie in court to save her sister's life - so she had to find another way."

'Heart of Midlothian' begins with a trial for child murder, and then never lets the tension drop with disguises, thwarted love, hazardous journeys, kidnappings, riots, rescues - and a shy, retiring, heroine who will stop at nothing to undo the terrible damage her virtue has done.

The novel has been adapted for radio by Mike Harris and the programme is produced and directed by Clive Brill of Brill Productions for BBC Radio 4.
