USA: Amazon Prime Announce Streaming Launch Date For Doctor Who

Last month we posted that, following their removal from Netflix and Hulu, Doctor Who Seasons 1-8 would soon be available once again to US viewers to stream via Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon Prime have revealed that thanks to an exclusive streaming deal with BBC Worldwide North America they will be hosting all 8 seasons plus all specials from Sunday 27th March at no extra charge to members. The content includes all episodes starring Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith as the Doctor, and Peter Capaldi's first year in the role. Season 9 and the 2015 Christmas special will be added later this year.

A similar deal with Bell TV means that viewers in Canada will soon be able to stream Doctor Who exclusively through Crave TV.
